Sunday

The last couple of days have seen me working and trying to get prepared for the rally this week. I've got an appointment with my chiropractor tomorrow morning nice and early before I make my way out to Mystery Creek for the first day of work at the rally.

Should be pretty cruizy though, from memory Monday was just setting up and making sure everything was in place ready to do Media Accreditation and various other things for Tuesday.

As far as the drivers and things go, their work starts on Tuesday with recconaisance - lucky bastards, Mikko's still going to be in Auckland til Monday night even though he arrived in the country yesterday. I'm not too sure about the other drivers, though I read that the Subaru lot arrived here on like Thursday, dunno if they're in Hamilton or not.

Mechanics will be setting up and checking over the recce cars on Monday, so I should get a chance to catch up with the ones I know, which will be awesome cause I haven't seen them in a year.

And I'll get my jacket! Woo! The official Rally NZ jackets are usually like $150, but the organisation gives them to certain people. They were being especially tight with them this year as well, but after the work I've done for them so far, Kim - the media centre manager, was able to get me one! It's not too big a deal, but it's like one of those(EDIT: Just forget about that...) small things that make me realise that I'm actually getting somewhere. Sort of like the fact that I've been getting emails from different people asking if I'd like to be involved with things, or write stories. I've found in the last week that I don't have to chase opportunities anymore, they come to me. And that feels like such a huge turning point.

I've also just spent the last half an hour bouncing ideas for questions off of my father regarding interviewing Morrie Chandler and other people. And I think that we've come up with some pretty good questions regarding the current and future WRC to add to the questions that I've come up with in the last week. I think I'll go and bounce them off of Lance as well and see what he thinks too.

So now I am feeling very hyped up about the whole rally business for this week. Though I still can't believe how fast this year has gone and how much I've been able to achieve over it!
