Rally Jordan

This rally was a piece of work. Rugged terrain seemed never ending and there were blind crests aplenty.

The most interesting and shall-we-say, controversial event was the crash of Sebastien Loeb's.

The story goes that he was traveling between stages, came around a bind crest to greet Conrad Rautenbach who was late for his next stage. The resulting head-on crash caused extensive front end damage to the cars. Both Loeb's and Rautenbach's cars were fixed and they were able to restart on Day 3 under SupeRally rules.

Also interesting on the table for this rally was Brit Barry Clark's surprise debut. He stepped in at the last minute in place of Luiz Perez Companc in the Munchi's Ford Focus and ran in the rally without having completed recce. He brought the car to an amazing 12th place in the event. Clark was the winner of the 2007 Fiesta Sporting Trophy International.
